Rituals & Routines
Back to Rhythm
The past few weeks have been full: back-to-school open house/zoom/meetings, last-minute shopping, PTO meetings, and all the tasks that come with shifting from summer’s unscheduled freedom back into structure. I’ve been moving quickly, but slowly finding my rhythm again.
Summer was expansive. Travel. Family. Healing. Memories I’ll carry forever. But it also meant falling behind on product-making, blogging, and the parts of my work that ask for steady hands and focused attention. This week, I’m catching up — digging out from the piles, restocking what I can, and reminding myself that “moving forward” doesn’t have to mean “rushing.”
What I’m learning about myself: I actually feel happier with structure (who knew?). The freedom of summer was beautiful, but I thrive when I have rhythms in place — dedicated work time, dedicated rest time, and space to create without the constant pull of multitasking.
The good news is that the foundation I’ve built is solid. My recipes are tested and true. My labels are evolving beautifully (I’ve learned so much about what works and what doesn’t). And I’m finally at the stage where my product lines are expanding in a way that feels both intentional and exciting:
✨ Ritual Kits centered around the chakras and life’s big energy points.
✨ Monthly astrology-inspired blends, each with its own aroma and guidance.
✨ Perfume balms in new roll-on formats — so you can choose the ritual you love best.
And in October, I’ll be leading my next Roots & Rituals Retreat — two nights in eastern Oregon near Triangle Lake. It will be camping in peaceful bliss, surrounded by nature, learning how to weave ritual into daily life, and exploring ancestral practices that bring joy, grounding, and connection. (More details coming soon — but if you’ve been craving rest and renewal, mark your calendar.)
So yes — I’m behind on blogging. But not behind on living. And this space remains what it has always been: a place for me to share the full spectrum of my journey. Sometimes it’s my life. Sometimes it’s my parenting. Sometimes it’s poetry. Sometimes it’s products. Always, it’s me.
Here’s to structure. To slowing down. To building a rhythm that makes space for both work and wonder.
