I was the barefoot girl in the trees and woods, scooping creekwater into jars and mixing it with petals and pine needles, convinced I could capture the spirit of summer. I crushed berries and orange peels and called it perfume. I stirred earth and grass in a pot and called it medicine. No one taught me to do this — it was instinct. Memory. Magic.
I asked for the Barbie Perfume Maker every year, begging for the chance to create something fragrant and real. But it was always “too messy.” That didn’t stop me. I made messes anyway. I stole moments in the garden and the woods. I buried my nose in flower beds and fashion magazines. I tested every scent strip I could find, even when they all smelled like paper soaked in chemicals. I was chasing something I couldn’t name yet.
It wasn’t perfume I wanted. It was presence. I wanted to bottle the feeling of earth after rain. The sweetness of jasmine on a night walk. The calm of lavender in late afternoon sun. I wanted nature in a bottle — real, potent, alive.
Years later, I found essential oils.
Then I found aromatherapy.
Then I found formulation.
And then, I found myself.
Now, I am The Earth Mixtress.
A conjurer of balm and mist and ritual. A formulator of spirit-laced salves and earth-scented perfumes. A creator of power potions — the kind that soften grief, ease pain, invite sleep, spark sensuality, and call your body back home.
This didn’t happen overnight.
It’s been decades of experimentation, play, and refinement.
What started as simple massage oils for my clients became a full-body dive into herbalism, aroma chemistry, skincare formulation, and energetic layering. I don’t just make “products” — I make experiences. Each formula is a blend of science and story. Each product has been tested (on me and my loved ones) and then refined, again and again, until it’s just right.
